The ten countries with the most registrations were the USA, Canada, the UK, China, France, India, Germany, Japan, Spain and the Netherlands.

Remember that the .mobi registrations are processed on a first come, first serve basis, meaning the earlier you apply the more chances you have to get the domain name you want.

Have you ever received an e-mail saying that you are eligible to receive a tax refund or that you qualify for a $ 200,000 mortgage without even applying for it? Also, in this type of e-mail you would be asked to login to your bank account or give your credit card number. This practice is called “phishing” and we are not talking about 13 lb salmon here.

“Phishing" is when online crooks send out emails attempting to fool you into sharing personal information like passwords or credit card numbers. Why do they call it phishing? Because these people are hoping to "fish out” your personal information. These people pretend to be from an organization or company that you trust. It can be from the bank you have an account with or the online store that you shop from time to time.

They normally use scare tactics, and will tell you that your account has been suspended or that your credit card was fraudulently used. Do not believe it, even though it looks real. Your bank would never ask you to send them your personal information by e-mail. If you have any concerns it’s better to call your bank and ask.

Simple rules to follow:

• If you receive a suspicious message delete the email and don't reply.
• Protect your computer by installing an anti-spam software.

• Never give out your personal information via e-mail. Even if it was an e-mail from your friend, confirm first.

• Review your credit card statements.
