You've got Spam. What can you
do?
Spamming - the abuse of
electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited, bulk
messages. Most likely you are already familiar with this
word, and don’t even need to look for its definition.
The question that’s bugging you is: “How did spammers
know my e-mail?” A popular method that spammers
use to find your e-mail address is by combing through
the Whois database.
The main idea
behind it is that ICANN, the international governing
body for domain names, requires every Registrar to
maintain a publicly accessible database displaying all
contact information for all domain names registered.
That means that every time you register a domain name,
your personal contact information is available on the
Internet for anyone to see, including spammers, identity
thieves, or telemarketers.
Knowing how important
it is to keep your online identity secure we offer an
identity protecting service called WhoisProtector*,
which will hide your personal information from spammers
and will replace it with alternate contact details. The
result is unquestionable; you remain the owner of your
domain, without revealing your personal info to the
public.

Want to see how
the .mobi works?
The
new .mobi domain name is moving forward with the opening
of its General Registration period on September 26th,
2006. Meanwhile, trademark owners have the privilege
(until September 22nd) to register their Trademarks as
.mobi domains ahead of time.
You can satisfy
your curiosity by viewing their .mobi websites
today:
- BMW.mobi site already contains
specifications on various car models, as well as
wallpaper dedicated to customizing mobile phone
backgrounds.
- Kicker.mobi was quick to take
advantage of World Cup hysteria and provided real time
scores and results from each of the games.
- DomainPeople.mobi is also live and
ready for your mobile browsing. We would be happy to
know what you think about it. Please feel free to send
your feedback.
One more thing,
if you still have your “.mobi doubts”. Please see
the
.mobi Emulator, where you can
type in any non-.mobi-site (e.g. DomainPeople.com) and
compare it with its .mobi version (e.g.
DomainPeople.mobi). Very convincing we must
say!
