DomainPeople Announces Successful Migration to New .CA Registry System

Vancouver, BC - October 13, 2010

New EPP based .CA registry system designed for improved customer experience.

DomainPeople, Inc. the eighth official domain name registrar accredited by the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), today announced the successful migration of its .CA registration system over to the newly redesigned and streamlined domain name registration system operated by the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) making it easier for Canadians to register and maintain their .CA domain names.

The new system enables DomainPeople to communicate with the .CA registry database in a much more efficient manner due to the industry standard EPP-based system that CIRA implemented today. This effectively updates and simplifies every aspect of the registry from its technological processes to its policies and business practices.

As one of the first CIRA certified .CA accredited registrars, DomainPeople is currently in its tenth year of registering and managing .CA domains. "The new .CA registration system enables us to better serve our .CA customers with immediately noticeable improvements to various processes that in the past were very manual and time consuming," said Chris Kruk DomainPeople’s product manager. "With their adoption of the EPP system, CIRA is essentially now operating as a world class registry allowing us to greatly enhance the experience customers will have in registering and maintaining their .CA domains."
