ProGuard IP Defensive Registrations block registrations in one
specific 3nd level .Pro domain.
- either "trademark.law.pro" for Legal
- or "trademark.med.pro" for Medical
- or "trademark.cpa.pro" for Accountancy
ProBlock Defensive Registrations block registrations in all current
and future 3rd level .Pro domains.
- "trademark.law.pro" for Legal
- "trademark.med.pro" for Medical
- "trademark.cpa.pro" for Accountancy
- "trademark.tbd.pro for any future "to be determined" second level profession
ProDefense Defensive Registrations block registrations in 2nd level .Pro domains.
ProReserve This product is designed to permit potential professional Registrants, located in any jurisdiction outside of the U.S., to register a second or third-level .Pro name defensively. A .ProReserve Registration could therefore later be converted to a live name when the appropriate local verification mechanism is established and the Registrant provides all necessary information to satisfy that local verification requirements. The difference between the ProGuard and ProReserve except for ProReserve, there is no trademark requirement.

- IP Defensive registrations do not resolve in the DNS, but do block others from registering the same name.
- Registrants may request to convert any defensive registration to a regular resolving name.
- ProGuard and ProBlock registrants that meet the elegibility requirements can E-mail their conversion requests to
support@domainpeople.com.
- ProDefense conversions are subject to certifcation in two of the three professions (e.g. two of med, law, and cpa).
Registrants must then purchase the 2 third-level resolving domains.
- Conversion requests must successfully complete professional authentication and personal verification.
- Conversion service fees ($175.00USD) will be waived if conversion request is received within 30 days of requesting
the IP Defensive Registration service.
- Spaces in a trademark may be replaced with a hyphen ("-") or removed to form a continuous string.
- IP Defensive Registrations must be identical to an active trademark held by the registrant.
- The registered trademark can be from ANY national trademark register.
- The registered trademark must have been registered before September 30, 2003.
- All defensive registrations have a term of four years.
